The first half of 2022 is already shaping up to be busy with travel, including to golf schools and resorts across the South and Southwest. Overall, golf is having its biggest growth spurt since the early 2000’s with no end in sight. Women now make up over 25% of all on course golfers according to the National Golf Foundation.
However, from what I can tell, women don’t make up 25% of the small group golf trips. Nor am I seeing anything augmenting state and regional women’s association events with destination tournaments in the winter and shoulder seasons.
Are you ready for the ultimate women’s golf tournament?
At least that was true until I met Tori Totlis of Compete Confidence Golf. Tori is the founder of Compete Confidence Golf which is hosting the Desert Classic 2022 golf tournament at Papago Golf Course in Phoenix, Arizona, home of the ASU Sun Devils and a Troon course. The Desert Classic is a tournament hosting 100 two-person teams — yes, you heard me correctly, 100 teams of 2 women over the course of three days.

A little more about the event itself…this is a 3-day partner event with gross and net prizes in each flight and over $15,000 in prizes, and day money too!
