Most importantly, a next generation of female players benefited.
I think I’ve recovered now from last week’s marathon — staging the first THE WOMAN GOLFER LAS VEGAS INVITATIONAL here in Las Vegas at Angel Park Golf Course. It turned out to be an amazing 3+ days. In total, 80 women from 18 states flying in from as far away as Honolulu and Boston participated. Simply a fabulous turnout!
What is so interesting is that everyone turned out, sponsors, volunteers and players, to support the Girls Junior America Cup matches (GJAC.org), to which we are forwarding a substantial donation of raffle proceeds and a portion of entry fees and sponsor dollars. If you weren’t able to make it, I’m sorry to say you missed out on incredible camaraderie, good-natured competition, contribution and connection, more of each than I could ever have contemplated. But there is next year, of course. We’ll open the tournament in the spring to this year’s entrants first. Then we’ll offer the remaining spots to the public. Watch your email closely— our post-tournament survey shows more than 70% of entrants plan on playing again.
Here’s a clip of some of the highlights…
I would be remiss if I didn’t thank everyone involved, beginning with the participants – thank you! And how about those sponsors for providing us with the BEST SWAG EVER?!?
