It’s remarkable how quickly time passes. As I mentioned in my last post, I realized that I have been attending the PGA Merchandise Show on and off for 15 years, through the Great Recession and pandemic. For those of you who don’t know, the PGA Show is the motherlode of golf shows. It’s the main stage for new product releases for the world of golf and held every January in Orlando. This year was bigger than ever due to the resurgence of travel post pandemic and the boom it has caused in rounds played. What is really amazing about the PGA Show is that it’s become such a great time to reconnect with friends of the past.
Karen Lovcik of Glove It, was just that. I reconnected with her during the show and was able to see her entire new collection at the PGA Show. Amazingly, it was Glove It’s 20th Anniversary exhibiting at the PGA Show — quite an accomplishment. Congrats Karen!

Karen founded Glove It in 2001. She graduated from Arizona State University in Fashion Merchandising and then worked in New York City for 18 years for an accessory company prior to starting Glove It. She was an avid golfer and saw a need for coordinated items for women golfers.
At the PGA Show I was able to check out her new lines for 2023, but get them while they last because Karen tells me once a line is gone, it’s gone. She produces 18 new collections per year. I’m loving her new neoprene collection called Neoprene Sport Collection, which includes a fanny pack, tote, and pickle ball accessories. This collection will be out shortly. Mark your calendar to keep checking. She’s even created a clear bag for sporting event security screening.
