I don’t know about you, but it seems that I’ve been waiting all summer for new items from my favorite lines to arrive. But have you noticed, as I have, that there’s not a lot of new inventory (let alone any inventory) out there? I’ll find a skort or top I like and then discover the one remaining piece is not my size.
I know from designers, manufacturers and sales reps I speak with that all aspects of the supply channels are jammed up— buttons, zippers, fabric. Many sewing plants here and abroad are just now coming back online, as well. Deliveries are sitting at ports of entry, too. I’m told delayed orders are delayed again. I believe those factors combined have teamed up to create the shortage of new apparel.
Last week, I was talking with my friend Eileen in San Diego who owns Skorzie. If you remember a previous post of mine from last year, Eileen founded her company during the pandemic. She has been able to expand during these chaotic times because her business model relies on overruns and closeouts of existing inventory.
Looking for something new? Eileen has an angle on closeouts from some great golf lines – some of these items are from private clubs around the country and some she gets direct from the manufacturer. Now is a great time to check out her inventory. She’s been receiving merchandise — some of which many of us have never seen. What a great way to cost-effectively add to your wardrobe to keep things fresh and interesting.
Here are just a few of the great lines and exclusive close-outs you will find:
