Now that I’m done running my tournament and playing golf again here in Las Vegas, I find myself on the course when it’s a bit chilly and there’s an occasional frost delay. The weather has forced me to transition from skorts to pants. In going though my closet, I have several go-to items depending on the temps but I wanted to suggest some great pant options. And with Black Friday/Cyber Monday approaching, this is a great time to check out their deals!
SWING CONTROL
Swing Control is regarded as a master of pants, and I concur, but I especially love the SOLID HEAVY PONTE FULL-LENGTH PANT ($138.00). I have my first pair from a year ago and they are in perfect condition, even after wearing them often last season. This is an item that won’t go out of style and as long as you are good to them (no dryer please), they will never cease to amaze. They are not only extremely well fitting, but this particular fabric is a heavyweight rayon/nylon/spandex blend. These are perfect for very cool days. They are pull on with a built-in tummy control for an added bonus. I’ve said this before, but you can wear these pants out and about — they look that good. Available in black, charcoal and navy.
TJ GOLF
This of course is one of my favorite lines which offers a lot of versatility. They have just launched their TJ JOGGERS ($125.00). They are a heavyweight blend of poly/spandex with a great fit and pockets galore. These are definitely my go-to for the very cool days ahead. TJ cut them with a slightly athletic but flattering fit, and always thinking of us winter golfers! Again, I love these because you can wear them everywhere – you aren’t limited just to golf. One added bonus is that TJ offers two lengths – regular and long, and they come in royal blue, black, hot pink (love them) and grey.
70 DEGREES LIFESTYLE
This line began and is best known as an equestrian line, offering laser cut long sleeve shirts with great sun protection (fabulous btw!). They have entered and established themselves in golf, pickleball and tennis recently. Their newest launch is the DOUBLE EAGLE GOLF PANT ($168.00). They’re very high quality and are extremely flattering with a distinctive equestrian touch. They have a “euro seat design” which will flatter any body type. Bonus: these pants also have a UPF 50+ rating. Currently available in navy.
DUNNING
Dunning has only just launched their womens’ line in the last 24 months with much deserved fanfare. As you may recall, they are the official apparel provider of the U.S. Women’s Solheim Team for 2023 and 2024. They have added a great pant to their collection — WOMEN’S PLAYER FIT STRETCH PANT ($108.00). Using four-way stretch fabric, this uber comfortable pant provides a great fit with performance in mind. This fabric is a little lighter and great for those days that start cool but end up warming up a touch. Plenty of pockets for all your needs, and better yet, what a great price on a high quality item. Available in black, white and navy.
RALPH LAUREN RLX
I have found Ralph Lauren standoffish, however, setting aside how they may treat smaller members of the media like me, I do like their RLX Golf Stretch Athletic Pant ($168.00). I actually like them so much that I have them in about eight different colors but for the record, I have been wearing them since before I founded this blog. They fit extremely well and I know I can buy the same pant year-after-year and it will still wear and fit the same. I have pairs that are at least six years old and they still look great. I know that they are little on the pricier side, but it will definitely hold it’s value for years to come if you take care of it (no dryer — are you getting the picture here??). Currently available in four colors — tan, white, black and navy.
These are my top pants you can wear both on and off the course in the shoulder season and winter. Wishing you all a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving!
