Let’s talk trends…
Pantone Color Institute summed up the 2020 fashion palette as “friendly and relatable”. Specifically, the Spring 2020’s color palette “infuses heritage and tradition with a colorful youthful update that creates strong multi-colored combinations as well as energizing and optimistic pairings” explains Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the institute.
Although some clothing lines haven’t quite launched yet for the season, from what I have seen thus far, there are some great new trends emerging in women’s golf clothing for 2020. This is just a sampling. Enjoy!
PRINTS AND FLORALS.
Prints are BIGGER and bolder. Whether its floral or geometric, there’s a new interpretation coming that’s worth checking out.
Check out SanSoliel. They have introduced a new line of prints (and fabrics), but best of all, they are UV-sun protecting. Use Code LUVTracey20 to receive 20% off your purchase.
Florals are HUGE this year. Check out Foray Golf’s selection of floral printed skorts – love them all!
Polka dots. JoFit has followed all new trends to the tee. They’ve infused blues and greens and white polka dots for their new Appletini collection.
Animal prints are keeping a slightly lower profile but you can find a few different variations of the classic animal print. Check out J.Lindberg’s pink and navy leopard.
RED.
Red is in. Bright red, scarlet red, tangerine red. Again, love Foray Golf’s graphic red floral print skort…
I’ve just tried SanSoleil’s New SolCool collection. Love this red UV-protectant shirt. The fabric is amazing!
ORANGE.
Is the new Black. You will see lots of orange. Check out Flirtee Golf’s Coral and J. Lindberg’s orange sculpt dress to start. Looking for something not so bright? GGBlue has a melon that might be what you’re in the mood for.
PINK.
Bright pink, baby pink, coral pink, leopard pink. Daily Sports has some great new lines coming out, including Tropical Vogue, a white and sangria combo. Golftini always has pink in their line up.
BLUE.
Blue is a staple in the golf industry. Period. I don’t think we’ll ever see a season without blue. I believe every line, all of which I have mentioned above, have some variety of blue. Check out JoFit’s new line with blue and green – what a wonderful upbeat combo. Still a bit chilly where you live? Try what I think is one of the best golf pants out there – RLX Stretch Golf Pant. Coordinate it with their Eyelet Golf Polo Shirt and you’ve got a crisp outfit.
WHAT ELSE?
Well, there’s always a little bit of everything out there. Whites and neutrals will be in for summer and I suspect you’ll see some earth tones creep back in also. What will be really interesting is to see how events of the last few months will shape trends to come. Some say that the ’08 recession caused trends that lasted a decade. Stay tuned.
