I’ve been attending the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, the world’s largest golf exhibition for buyers, since 2008 (think the motherlode of golf shows). First held out of the trunks of cars at a winter tournament in 1954, it’s now golf’s longest running trade show — this year there were 800-plus exhibitors, 250 of which were new to the show, and more than 30,000 attendees from 86 countries.
I thought you’d enjoy this slide show of some of the more exciting 2023 women’s golf apparel and accessory releases, many of which I will be reviewing in subsequent posts this spring, and of the exhibit hall in general. This year’s show had more energy and buzz than before the pandemic. There is a golf boom and while I was just one of the 800 golf media attending I think it’s fair to say the industry exudes optimism, as Seth Waugh, CEO of PGA of America stated above, “If the PGA Show is a barometer, 2023 is going to be a great year for golf.”
As you’ll see in future posts, I was able to reconnect with numerous friends with whom I did business in the past.
